Pappajente (sketch from ScrapFriends)

My first layout of the year!
I try to follow my own New Years resolutions - scrap more often, do more challenges, and use more journaling (still have to work on that one....)
I really liked the January-sketch from ScrapFriends, and here is my take on it.
I used mainly a kit from Scraptastic Kit Club, which contained supplies from Glitz Design and American Craft.
The background is created with a Tim Holtz stencil combined with both Distress Stain and Distress Ink.
And I tried out my Gelatos for the first time, making the frames behind the photo. I think I need a bit more practice with those....
A bit of stamping and some torn pieces of washi tape.
The red letters are from Jenni Bowlin. (Pappajente = Daddys girl)
And this is the sketch I tried to follow:

Hopefully this is just one of many layouts in 2014. My goal is to beat the numbers from last year. I just counted, and I made 39 layouts in 2013 :-)

Så kul!!! Ser virkelig tøft ut med bruk av sånn stensil for å lage bakgrunnen. Må nok undersøke det produktet litt mer tror jeg...

The effect of the combined strong patterns and colours is just awesome! Thank you for playing along at Scrap Friends!
