Høstfarger/The colors of fall...

I made this card for a friend of mine, and was totally inspired by a gorgeous card made by Kristina Werner.
Completely fell in love with the triangle stamp, and it didn't take long before it arrived in the mail...

I just love the colors of fall, so I chose very different colors than the original card. But followed the same steps to create the background, using white embossing powder, and then different Distress Inks.
The sentiment is embossed in gold, and I put together some leaves and skeleton leaves behind it.
Finally some sequins, attached with Multi Medium Matte from Ranger.

I've made several backgrounds like these, in different colors. And it is so much fun every time to see how they turn out.

Farsdagskort/Fathers Day

Søndag var det farsdag, og jeg laget et Kvikklunchkort til min far.
Synes disse kortene er enkle og kjekke å lage. Jeg brukte Kraftkartong til å brette kortet, og ellers bare restepapir.
I made this envelopecard containing the Norwegian chocolate called Kvikklunch for my father.
Crafts.
The base is made of Kraft cardstock, and then just some leftover papers to decorate it. Stamps from Papirdesign and Kort & Godt. It is closed using Hook & Loops from Joy Crafts.

Finally showing the cards my daughters made for their father, with just a little bit help from me.... :-)

More Halloween......

I wanted to make Halloweencards for my daughters as well. They both love Halloween and all kinds of spooky stuff....

I used stamps from Joy! Crafts, Vintage Homes. Clearly not meant for Halloween, but with dark colors and spiderwebs they are easily turned into spooky houses.
I stamped on watercolor paper, and made the backgrounds with Distress Ink. The little witches are stamps from Clearly Besotted, colored with watercolor pencils.
For the first card, I also made a bright moon, and found some mini bats that were perfect for the theme.

The next one is made with the same techniques. Here I also stamped some spiderwebs and a raven.
The mummy is made out of a piece of cardstock, and then lots of cheese cloth wrapped around it.

Finally, I just wanted to show the Halloweencards made by my 12-years-old girls themselves.
They totally fell in love with the 'Day of the Dead'-stamps from Tim Holtz. And did a great job coloring them with watercolor pencils. Some extra stamping, and the cards turned out amazing!

Have a nice week-end!
