Challenge - More Than Words - Nov 2017

The current challenge at More Than Words could not have been more perfect for me. Outdoor and Woodgrain? I couldn't wait to start making this page.
After some rainy weeks, we finally had some nice weather. And we used the opportunity to spend some time outdoors. And also taking some photos of our girls. After taking lots of photos in a park, I ended up using photos taken in our own backyard. The colors were just so beautiful.
The papers are from 7 Dots Studio and Simple Stories. I firts put down some old book pages, and then a thin layer of gesso to blend them together. And then added more color with Distress Oxide and water.
Lots of random stamping with stamps from Leane Creatif and Dina Wakley.
I used a die set from Prima to make all the leaves, and also got rid off lots of leftover papers....
I just tucked all the leaves behind the photos, tried not to overthink it.
The gorgeous chipboard is from SnipArt. And finally som splatters, dots, sequins etc....

Skumring - 7 Dots Studio Challenge

The latest challenge at 7 Dots Studio really got my attention. I instantly knew what photo to use.
This is my daughter at the beach in Mallorca. Admiring the sunset, and is completely lost in her own thoughts.
I used mainly the collection Dreamscape, there might be some smaller pieces from other 7 Dots Studio collections in there...
I chose to put to 6x12 pieces together, and then add some washitape to join them together.
The chipboard is from SnipArt, my new favourite when it comes to chipboard. I used a stencil and grey ink to create a pattern. And then some random stamping.
The title 'skumring' means dusk, and the letters are a sticker alfabet from Authentique.
I used dies from Spellbinders and the Sizzix-dies wildflowers, and put the diecuts behind the photo.
As always, I found wod stickers that match perfectly.
Some splatters with white gesso to finish it all.

And this is the inspirational circle from 7 Dots Studio:
